I played arbitrary co-soundings on the mystic scale (it becomes mystic arabian if you mimic arabian music; otherwise is sounds european). I applied 300 hz steep low pass (eq) on an inverse sawtooth soundwave generator. I applied many delay effects in tandem. Created on fruity loops and re-equed on wavelab. Mystic(has three submodes, scale-shifts [same intervals, overall shifted]). • do, re#, mi, sol, sol#, si• do, do#, mi, fa, sol#, la• do#, re, fa, fa# la, la#. (semitonally/fret steps: 0, +1, +3, +1, +3, +1, +3). (si = ti, do = c). It is chordable.

Sample of a metallic percussion hit. The sound is quite dark and muffled. I call it underwater drum, because it sounds to me like it's underwater. This sample is tuned to a1 but there is a very dominant overtone at b1, which is the musical interval of a minor second. The source of the sample was the platter of a dismantled hard disk drive, hit with a wooden mallet. It was then pitched down a lot. The sample is almost raw, i just added some slight eq. The sample was intended to be used with a sampler, you may want to add some reverb for this and filter the previously mentioned overtone, when you use it in combination with other tuned instruments. I made a small python program that generates 20 random beeps. I record the outcome. I cut the result so that the first beep starts after 0. 01 secthe file ends right after the last beep. This is a clip of various engine sounds recorded on my 2003 subaru impreza wrx with a 3" turbo-back exhaust system. The audio starts with the engine at idle and includes a few engine revs at different rpms. You can hear some turbo whistling and also some rattling of god-knows-what parts. It's a little muffled (kind of a muddy sound), but could be used as part of an action sequence or with a music track laid over. As always, i love knowing how people use my tracks! i'd appreciate a comment letting me know what kind of project you're doing and, if possible, a link to any finished work! thanks.

Had this swinging drum-beat going on in my head. Got it out and put a simple piano-line on top of it. I thought i'd keep it simple. Did it for something called victors crypt but i think it would suit anything strange, cool, weird, dark, goofy, spooky, creepy, fun. . . Anything you can think of actually!. Note: i have created a newer version which has better looping. It is called drum beat loop 2. 0. This is a drum beating. It is 12 seconds long but can be looped. It was createdusing ableton live (including plugins like acdgen, drumbrain, and polyrandom). The files were then combined and edited using audacity. Feel free to comment your opinions on this. Note: while this did loop just fine in my tests, some software don't handle the looping as well (like groove music pauses before repeating). If the looping doesn't work the first time, try using a different software. You can easily do this on a windows pc by right clicking on the file and pressing open with (i am sure there is also a way to do this on a macbook but i have never used one so i am not sure how you would do it). On an even night of april 2018, in a huge temple in bangkok -none of the famous ones-, i went to crash funerals -i truly recommend do this; people is very nice and the spectacle it's just amazing, you have singing, acrobatics, free food. . . This recording came from a taoist funeral -that night they have also some others in that temple -i need to find out which one, but i think it's next to sam sen subway station-, many, buddhist funerals. Just now, i realized the singing it's in mandarin. Over the funeral chatting, you heard the singer voice and the instrument, timbals, erhu. A very oriental ambiance. Not edited. Recorded with my old, and now quite cranky, zoom ii recorder.
